The Christopher Starz Leadership Memorial Fund was formed in 2006 by the Starz Family in Christopher's memory. As part of an existing 501(c)(3) non-profit Foundation, all contributions are tax-deductible. The purpose of this fund is to perpetuate Chris' dream of providing an opportunity for outdoor challenge/adventure programs to youth (and adults) from all walks of life and to those who would not have the financial means to do so. By discovering inner strength through challenge, Chris believed you can never fail to succeed.
"I feel that under proper
leadership, skills learned in the wilderness
can far outweigh any of those learned in a classroom
setting. It is my goal to impart the appropriate
knowledge and leadership necessary to provide
kids with this type of invaluable experience."
-Chris Starz, 2005 -
The Leadership Memorial is the funding source for the program vehicle to deliver this exciting opportunity. Northpoint Adventures provides a variety of program offerings ranging from youth leadership adventures to special customized outings. Leave No Trace philosophies will be practiced at all times. As Chris emulated that life is a process of joyful creation and exploration, Northpoint will allow us the chance to discover and recreate ourselves in the inspiring beauty of nature and the wilderness.
Visit the Northpoint Adventures website to find out more about the program or to register for trips.
